Have any of you had experience using the Hobbico Air Alert (lost aircraft alarm), specifically with a Super Cub? www.hobbico.com/radioaccys/hcap0335.htmlIf so, what are your thoughts on the device, and what mods (if any) are required to get it to work with the Super Cub? A friend of mine recently lost his Slow Stick with his digital camera on board, and the idea of that happening to me is disconcerting. Losing the Super Cub would be bad enough, but losing a camera with it would be terrible. If the Hobbico Air Aleart doesn't work with the Super Cub, are there any other lost plane alarms on the market that will work with it? Thanks in advance.

it will not work with the super cub, neither will any lost plane alarm on the market that i know of. The inactivity alarm is a good start, but there is no place to plug that in.... MAYBE if you wired it in series with a serveo.... MAYBEE... but i dont know anything about how those electronics work I have a small door alarm coming in the mail that beeps when you take a magnet away that i'm going to try and get to work with the drop module (electromagnet releases metal clip = perfect) probly just tape the reed switch nest to the electromagnet or something www.dealextreme.com/details.dx/sku.826but the SC doesn't have an extra channel, the x-port devices only sense transmitter loss. i'm too not sure of how the combat modules work, but maybe you could replace the combat transmitter thing (IR leds?? i have no idea) with a buzzer as a last resort

Just a thought on this. You could outfit it with a bright LED and IF it goes down.....wait til dark and go looking...? LED's do not draw much power and they are cheap. Just a thought. Kevin
