Motor MOunt Crooked?

Hello everyone. Thank you for this forum. I am a total newb. I have a few flights under my belt. I'll post my first landing after this post. It's a classic!

I broke my first prop today and noticed that the motor shaft looked bent. After removing the cowling I noticed the black piece of the motor mount is making the motor off center a bit. You can see in the pic the left side is longer than the right. Is this normal?

Yep thats normal. It seems wrong but its that way to counteract the torque of the prop.

Dont feel bad, I asked the same question on rc universe when I first got my cub. The bad thing is I shimmed mine up straight with small washers till I found out it was suppose to be like that.
