Hello, I located a RC store in Fairbanks (I didn't even know it was there) and they have a 3s 11.1 v 2200 mAh 20c battery for 35.99. That sounds a little to good to be true for up here. I can't even order a battery of that size for under 40.99 PLUS freight. So this makes me suspisious. So heres the question, how good are Hobby People lipos. This battery is the size I need but I don't want to buy junk. Any help you folks can give me would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks Alaskan

Shipping that bad to AK? Order directly from HP and that lipo is $20. www.hobbypeople.net/index.php/hobby-people-11-1v-2200mah-20c-lipo-battery-pack-w-t-conn.htmlI don't have any experience with them and haven't seen any info so can't comment on quality. One good thing about a LHS is you have a person to complain to should you have problems. Don't expect that from eBay or HobbyKing. A lot of folks have been saying good things about GensAce. www.hobbypartz.com/gensace3s25c.htmlThey have a wide assortment of lipos. That link toff sent for the HK lipo is a 4S. If you get that you will have incredible power for a couple seconds before something burns up. Probably best skip that one. In general the Zippy lipos are well thought of. Expect long shipping, and NO SERVICE. This helps with the occasional disappointment after the glee of cheap prices has worn off. For the best experience NEVER EVER buy ANYTHING out of stock unless you are fully prepared to have your entire shipment held until ALL parts are in stock (months sometimes)

Oops. Well spotted, fly! I was looking for the 3s. Not sure about to alaska, but the longest I've waited here in the UK is 2 weeks, and the turnigy lipos I got are still going strong, after many cycles of use.

The US is putting strong restrictions on air shipping lipos here. There apparently have been some plane fires caused by them. Not sure what the details are. I haven't ordered any in a long while. Take care of them and they actually last a good while. A very quick search turned up a couple threads. This news is over a year old and I have not followed developments. Since it IS old news and I don't read of complaints, other than out of stock moaning usually (lot of that for awhile in popular sizes), I'm not sure what is going on.
