:)HI all just wanted to know the disadvantage's of flying with NO cowl on the cub. its the one thing i tend to break most for some odd reason will the cub be OK to fly without it i know it will look a bit rubbish but when its in the air it wont notice as much.cheers and happy flying

Hi Garv I wouldn't imagine flying w/o the cowl would hurt much. Might make it easier for dirt and grit to get into the motor/gear mech. If you cover the cowl inside and out with carefully applied clear packing tape, it becomes almost indestructable. I'm still using my original cowl after many mishaps and repairs . M

yeah me too,i jsut used black electrial tape,holds up good

i used clear packing tape on the inside, cut off the bottom air intake thingy and put cheap screening over the holes in the cowl an its holding up nicely
