Just tried to change one of my other Viemo videos and make it private but that wont work either. I have a feeling that its my Ipad app thats preventing it. I'll try from the hotel computer tommorow.

;D I have no clue why when I'm connected to the Hotel WiFi I cant make changes but as soon as I go on 3G it works.. Lol Ok, now both videos can be viewed. Here is a repost!! IMHO EC3 plugs are the best. They are very easy to solder and you can test and adjust the tension of the connector to fit your needs. I developed a way to solder EC3 plugs that is very easy. I have never found another connector that works this easy!! Hear is a video that I made!!! How to solder EC3 or EC5 plugs: vimeo.com/28279550I also developed a way to adjust the tension. You will find all kinds of folks moaning about how hard it is to take EC3 (and Deans) connectors apart. Hi. I use both Deans and EC3. I have no troubly disconnecting the Deans but used to find the EC3 very stiff. My simple solution was to make a thin plastic blade that has a shallow taper on one end. I simply insert the blade into the slot between the connectors and with a slight push the plug and socket come apart without stressing any of the components. I drilled a small hole in the other end for a key ring, that way I always have it with me. Geoff

Thanks to those who've weighed in. I've made the basic mods to the wing shoulder (using sheet basswood) and the battery box. I've squeezed the female connectors a little and am now waiting for the weather to cooperate. We had several days here in Maine that were wet, cloudy, and some fog. Now we have CAFB but with winds that move a C-5 sideways. Definitely not foam flyer weather.
I'll let everyone know how it the changes helped (or not) after some air time.

I was a little apprehensive about launching the S/C today after two weeks off, but with everything repaired, mods done, and plastic tie between the two connectors on the EC-3, off she went.
I did a lot of close flying at first and feeling everything out before taking it out over the spot where I'd lost power and crashed - no problems! I flew four batteries for around 55 minutes and had a great time.
My friend from Bangor came up with his Exceed Cub (now there's an airplane that's a story!!!) and we flew the two of them together. He's got a lot quicker response with ailerons and the Exceed Cub is wicked pretty, but that's for another thread.
Hopefully, we'll have good weather next weekend as the floats are going on for some off-water flying. The kayak chase boat is ready to rock!

Just thought I'd update this. Back when started, I thought the transmitter may have been at fault. Well - it seems that may have been the problem all along. The DX6i, still under warrantee, has been returned because it started changing aircraft by itself - while another (Super Cub) was in flight.
The last crash was exactly like the first - total power loss with the aircraft nosing in vertically. Fortunately, I had decided to fly low and was in the process of landing into a 10kt wind when everything stopped.
I'll keep everyone updated.
