My name is Mark, from Dallas Oregon "ish", avid Nebraska Cornhusker Fan Born in Lincoln Ne, lived there for 30 years.
I've owned 2 Super Cubs now and I seem to have the same trouble with both. The first one is toast parts plane from the same trouble I had with my new one, no radio response what so ever out of the blue. Both Planes did the exact same thing , Flying away perfectly , everything fine then no control, hard left bank and nose dive straight into the ground with no control from 100+ feet up.
I do aerial photography with a GoHero Camera mounted below them, it also does 1080P HD video and both Cubs flew extraordinarily well for hours before incident. Well, the second one after 3 charges. Thankfully the $300 Camera survived the nose dives since I have a break away mount that takes out some of the initial shock but are any of you experiencing this trouble?
I bought a Multiplex Fun Cub and it goes on its maiden voyage today just because of this issue, I cant risk burying a plane into a customers house or child since they always come out to watch me film.

Hey Mark, are you using the TX/RX that came with the cub? New batteries, etc?
Can you give some more info on what you are running?

In a nutshell - the stock cub electronics are about as low end as you can go and be acceptable. I trust them to learn to fly on. After that, move on. I wouldn't trust them with a $300 camera.

Gets rather complicated when people do duplicate postings! ;D Yes, actually I did, from being a part of some other forums I wasn't sure if people checked the introduce yourself area. It seems the electronics mixed with ACT are something to avoid, I will say the SuperCubs are probably the most crash resilient plane I've ever owned, they really take a licking and keep on ticking but in all fairness I think I found my new Mule. I took my Multiplex Fun Cub out today for its maiden voyage and wowsers. Granted I cant set the controller down and eat lunch like I could with the Super Cub but with Flaps down its fairly equal and probably better on take offs, no more one handed throw launching, this thing takes off anywhere, off virtually anything. I think the thing is airborne in lest than 2'. Its definitely more of a handful than the graceful floating SuperCub but my guess is the larger size and added weight keeps it a few seconds in front of the Super Cub and where the SuperCub gracefully meandered about in its non concerning ways, The FunCub got my heart racing a few times with its " twitchy" and instantaneous perkiness. Im still trying to figure out the Spektrum 6xi Transmitter and think I have something wrong but the instructions and I are having a battle of wits and Im losing obviously. It seems my servos are either very touchy or weak or something because they buzz and chatter more than Im used too and I made sure I centered all trims and horns so Im not sure why I cant get rid of the faint buzz on one aileron and one flap.

Try +50-60% expo on funcub wont be as twitchy! Happy flying...
