hey all,
was getting my SC ready for its maiden flight tomorrow (yes, i am scared) and accidentally left the radio on. a few hours later, it started beeping. does this mean the batteries are weak? i can't see how they would be since i wasn't using the radio. i took it out in the yard tonight and taxied around and all seems fine. should i replace the batteries or am i just being paranoid. also, since the battery in the plane had its initial charge around 5 days ago, i have not used the plane for more than 2 or 3 minutes of taxiing. should i put the battery back on the charger before i take her out tomorrow or should i drain it first (as i did when i received the plane) and then recharge? do these batteries have memories or not?
thanks for any help!!!

yes the beeping is the low battery warning, and the as long as the transmitter is on transmitting it will drain the battery's just like you were flying. to get the best performance you will want to charge your batteries before you go flying. this will give you a little more peak power and longer flight time. the batteries don't really have a memory effect, nicads are the ones you have to watch with memory problems. just be sure to run the batteries all the way down once in a while then charge them up, this will help cycle them and keep them good.
