"Terrified" What's the worst that can happen? Do some cartwheels, screw it into the ground, hit an immoveable object, land in a tree, land upside down. It's all just basic trainin. We've all been thru it and most of us survived. You will too! Stock up on spare props, packin tape, your favorite glue, and add in a heapin helpin of patience and you'll be good to go. Remember easy on the controls, this aint no video game. If I can do it ANYONE can, believe me! M

It'll be worth the wait. I would say three things really made a difference for me: 1. Simulator practice 2. Very little wind 3. Very big field

Just remember down is up and up is down and you should not be confused.....LOL. It is a great trainer to learn on for sure. Once you have it down you will probably like a good 10+mph wind to play in. Kevin

HEY DIAMONDDOG. To answer your question, yes most use the car charger. i would ditch the 7 cell you get with the plane and get an 8 cell1100-1400 from your local model shop. you can still use the car charger. i turn the dial to 1.0.-1.2 if you hear a buzzing sound tur down slightly. you canbuy wall chargers and these are better if you want longer life in your batteries. remember, dont rush out. i check the weather and up to a force 4 wind is good to fly. too windy and youll have problems. enjoy and remember the spare props and 5 min epoxy resin from B&Q its a life saver.

Garvey. That car charger is meant to charge upto 7 cell packs, according to Hobbyzone. Sounds like you have not had any trouble using it on the 8 cell packs.

I CANNOT recommend the PZ chargers. I've had 5 die. Very poor quality. Do some research and buy another brand.
If you are new to the sport realize that in all likelihood you will be moving to lipos at some future date.
