just received my super cub. can't wait to fly it!!
question: when putting the screws in where the struts attach under the fusalage, it feels like they want to strip on the head... kinda like the included screw driver is not the proper size. also, the 4 screws holding down the landing gear covers seem to be doing the same thing. i tightened them as much as i could before they started ream but they are all still sticking out at least 1/8 inch each. any ideas?
thanks!

Hey Barlowe The screwdriver that comes with the cub is less than worthless. Get a good quality tool, it will save you money in the long run. The screws are soft and very hard to install the first time because you're cuttin threads in the palstic. be sure to snug them up; no prob with a "real" screwdriver. Removal/ re-insertion will be much easier after that. happy flyin ;D M

barlowe,
The problem persists. The screws are forever hard to put in, and they are soft, and strip. The included screwdriver does fit, but it has a small handle. A sharper screwdriver will not help, as it will not grip the slots. Screw replacement should be done, but I don't know what size they are.

Go to a hardware store an get some #4 x 3/4" long sheet metal screws and you'll be set to go.

I'll second that, jt01! See my earlier post. If ya want to go a step further put double sided tape under the tail section where it attaches to the plastic piece on the fuse. I had no further issues with my taill loosening up after I did that. happy flyin, M
