i was just checking out some videos on youtube and some guy on there had completely wrapped his SC in packing tape. he said that it provided super protection in crashes and that it was like a suit or armor for the plane. he has had very bad high speed crashes with no damage. heres my question. has anyone ever though or vaccuum wrapping the individual pieces of the plane? or, at least vaccuum wrapping the wings and fuselage. if packing tape does the job, vaccuum wrapping would have to as well (probably better) and would look a lot better than tape wrapped around and around the plane. any thoughts or suggestions?

No, it's the fiber in the packing tape that does it. It will make the plane lots stronger, both being taped together, and the fibers protecting from impact. I only have it on the leading edge and curves of my wing but my wing now has handled crashes that damaged previous non-taped wings. Check out mountain model's Magpie. Same deal, completely wrapped.
Be careful though, you can easily warp your wing slightly with tape which will affect flying.
