1. Disconnect the ACT 2. Get as much altitude as possible 3. If it gets away from you and a crash is eminent, cut the throttle!!!! 4. Pucker your cheeks at the moment of impact 5. For the most chance of sucess(and least dammage) go to iowa, find a wheat field of about 200 acres, stand in the middle and go for it!! :-)
Sorry about 4 & 5, lol
Hey, good luck and welcome to the family. Cant wait to see the vid's!!!!

also before your first flight you might want to do a few mods to it. check this out you will learn a few things. #1 www.youtube.com/watch?v=9eA-RhCIkkQ&feature=email#2 www.youtube.com/watch?v=Xn8xjXYQj5w&feature=email there is a lot of other info on you tube also you might want to put clear packing tape along the leading edge of wing that will help save wings from getting banged up. and across the middle were rubber bands go. and were wing struts go on fuselage put Velcro on struts and under fuselage there is a vid on you tube some were about it. good luck & happy flying

@toff, you hit it right on the head. The whole learning process has become fun. Now with cheap electric power and foam you just cant beat it. I would never have takin chances with my balsa planes back in the late 70's and early 80's. So you got the "pride and ego" T-shirt. Well I got the pride and ego "T-shirt, pants and underwear. Lol I never mentioned it 2 weeks ago, but when I was in Ireland my beautiful MPX Fun Cub lost its nose because of "pride and ego" (P&E). ;D To be honest, it lost everything in front of the wing after I planted it on the beach like I was drilling for oil. ;D ;D Thank God that was one of the days my son was not filming. Lol Lets just say that the motor and about 6" of the fusalage including that landing gear were laying about 10 feet away from the rest of the plane. I got the pieces back to the house, checked the electronics, put a spare 35-36 in it, used a bunch of Epoxy and glued the front of the plane back on. The next day I was flying like nothing had ever happened. Back in the 80's I would have bin out of action for 3 months because of "P&E".lol I always seem to crash when someone is watching!!!! ;D Time to start flying alone again!!!! Lol Ifly

I get pretty frustrated from viewing video of clever guys seemingly flying like eagles without ever crashing. WTF am I doing wrong? Then I read something like this and realise that you smart guys also crash with disastrous results, just like us lesser mortals. But presumably most people only post videos of their successful flights . . . Thanks again for your honesty.
