John Have you experience with helis? Ever flown one? If not, then this is not your bird. If you want to get into them then I would start with blade MSR, they also have a new flybarless MXCP which would be like the one in your link just smaller, capable of 3D etc... Obviously the smaller they are the harder they can be to fly but if you coudl fly the two I listed easily you coud handle a larger one. The biggest thing is setup. With these bigger 450 class etc.. helis something usually ALWAYS breaks in a crash, hell you tip one over with the blades spinning you gonna break something. Their is no "O let me try again" LOL Not to mention 5 min is about all the flight time you get if you are lucky on the larger helis.
Just my opinions and experience. they are fun but require alot of hard work, time, patience, and possably a deep pocket.
Just my opinion.

All fair points, I have no experience of helis whatsoever cept for on GTA! ;D I really only bought it cos it was so cheap. I was reading about some weak blades you can use when your learning that snap before too much other damage is caused. Will it fly wrapped in bubble wrap if I leave all blades sticking out? ;D The main reason I wanted a heli was so I could step outside the front door and have a go. Things are changing at the moment though since I ordered it and Im looking to move house now, nowhere specific 'cept somewhere SW UK. Not only has ZiMPorts now swallowed my living room, I want to live somewhere bigger and cheaper than where I am, must be middle of nowhere, preferably no neighbours for 1/4 mile in any direction (not essential), must back onto field for flying. I am looking at about 5 properties at the moment all between 60 - 120 miles from where I am now. If that happens before I get the heli, may just sell it! Fingers crossed. I think my future survival is dependant on a back doorstep flying field! John

Get a little guy like the MSR. It is a blast inside and outside (no wind) then step up. You won't be happy the first time you try to get that bigger heli in the air and it gets destroyed. Or get with someone who knows heli's to help with tis setup, and flying it. Good luck George
