Hi John. Yes, orientation is a bugger. It takes time to get a hang of it and I'm a long way from being comfortable with it.
The Fun cub has not been in the air for ages. Weather and work have not been cooperating. One of the reasons why I got the Mcpx, Its just so easy to get out in the garden for a fix. ;D
Like yourself I will be taking it away with me as it is so easy to throw in the vehicle.
Didn't get a chance to get down the park today, but got some vid in the garden showing how bad I am at trying to do some back flips. Its uploading now, I will put a link up later.

Video from today. Not one bit of damage, even when it landed on the paving. This is one tough bird. ;D vimeo.com/27116213

Hey Paul, dam that was good!!! I cant believe that was your first time trying inverted. After you put it on its back you were able to recover back to regular often. Well, I'll be back stateside next Sunday and my MCPX will be waiting for me when I get there. ;D Im placing the order now!!!! ;D
Keep posting vid's and Im glad your having a great time with it.
I took all the electronics and motor out of my Fun Cub this morning. I decided to leave it here at the house in Ireland. Gonna go do some flying with the SC now and then tonight i got to pack up the car for the trip back to Germany. I'll be taking the Belfast-Liverpool Ferry tommorow and then I'll be on your island for a couple of days working my way down to Dover. I hope the weather gives me the opportunity to fly the cliffs using my spycam. ;D

Hi John. I did try flips in the week, this was the first time I filmed them. I really didn't think it was going to be so simple with this little heli and thought it would be months before I even tried it. I started RC with a Trex 450 heli about 6 yrs ago and gave that a flip and it ended in disaster. I then got a XTR flight sim and that taught me the stick movements, but I could never successfully take that to the field. That was the end of Helis and then spent the next 5 years having a great time with the planes. This little heli is a totally different beast with the Flybarless system it's very stable. You have a safe journey and I hope the weather lets you fly down at the cliffs.

I get about 5 mins with the 240mah hyperion batts and they are cheaper. These times will vary depending on what type of flying you are doing. Range is not a problem. You need to keep this heli pretty close as its very small. You will lose site of it before losing range.
