That seems a very competitive price, John. A friend paid nearly double that amount for a brushless kit for his SC last week.
With your item, would it be necessary also to buy new servos and prop, or will the stock ones fit OK? And is anything else needed to complete the upgrade?

Thanks for the info, John. I asked because I, too, am trying to decide whether to go brushless or to continue flying my brushed baby until she disintegrates completely. And I keep hearing rumours that HZ intend launching a brushless RDF SC.

That zimports kit is way too heavy. You only need a 1.6oz brushless motor and 18a .6oz esc.

That sounds pretty uneducated to myself as I put the kit together based upon numerous reccomendations from this forum as well as fly this setup myself. Don't mean to sound as rude nor ignorant as yourself. John Just trying to help the OP out on a good flying setup. No profit in this for me at all. I flew mine stock a few times and it is a joy to fly at just over 20oz AUW. You should try flying a well set up one before you start calling me names again.

I've been looking at Rimfire with a castle creations esc, but I'd be happy if I could find some sort of combo with compatible parts. I've already got a spectrum rx, but still have to figure out the servos.
Thoughts?

Rimfire 370 or 400 should work well. I use Hitec HS-55 servo's on mine, AXI 2208/34 motor and Castle 18a ESC.
