Its come to my attension that the pz extra has a slight problem with the wings ie "top of my wing is flat n botton curved"
And by the looks of the net im not the only one?
Does anybody no what hz are doing"apart from selling more extra kits with bad wings"to sort this cock up out?

I have one also. Supposedly the prblem was fixed. I did not flip my wings. I have not had any problems. I think if you are a competition pilot or something you may want it perfect but for the average flier it is not a big deal.
Just my opinion.

I would still like my extra wings the same on the top n bottom tho...but like u say it still flys nice,gaga where do u put ur lipos n how much expo etc?
Mine seems to nose up under full power then half power drops a little?
Elev seem a bit touchy too on landings!
Have u had any of this?

elev is touchy. I use a good amount of expo. I can not remember numbers though. I go with the reocmmendations of the manual +10 I think. I slide my battery almost to full front not quite. Also depends on battery size though. It should want to nose up under full power, and as you put in less it should level out. I have my plane setup permanual, for duel rates it is so fast and responsive at low rates I have not even used high rates yet. I do not feel the need to.

Something iv got a problem with is when the plane 1/4 turn"so knife edge like" or tight turn its wanting to roll out n does some times!!
I bent the stock motor shaft the other day when i pulled out of a dive n did what i said rolled n smashed into the field?no other controls just pulled back?
So being as the stock motor was £52 i bought a eflite power 15 for £50 not fited it yet due to the plane wanting to roll out of nealy everything i do with it...as for the elev twichy hell yeah n cant seem to trim it its eather a click to much or a click to less nothink in the middle!
Full power nose up like im pulling back on the stick???
What holes are you useing on elev?

Hmm... weird. I would doble check everything make sure it is aligned and trimmed.
I will check on the holes I am using.

From bottom of page to top ;-)
Flown it today n realy not happy with the way mine flys like a brick that does a bit of 3d?
One side of my elevator was flexing couseing the roll so installed a cr into it seems to work a bit better just tale heavy even with lipo as far forward as it will go with straps over!

Found this....dont look good hz... www.parkzone.com/Products/Bulletin.aspx?ProdID=PKZ5175I pulled my strap out n have moved it 1/2" towards the nose so i can get atleast a bit of the lipo straped over! Allso found where the fuse halfs are joined tale end "mine wasnt glued"? 1-1 1/2mm space even under the sticker on top by vert fin!! Epoxyed between them....im begining to dislike hz due this model.......i think the extra 300 was a rushed job!! |
