Hmmmm, problems, problems...... As some of you know I have an mpx twister ..... The problem regards batteries. Warm batteries. Hot, puffy batteries, that happen to be lipos. As posted recently, I had one 4 cell battery die ( Loong max tipple 20-25c 2300mah). I have done as suggested and taken the shrink wrap off. Top cell puffy ( Unnoticed due to tight shrink wrap spreading the load inwards). Ordered new battery - Flightmax Evo - 25-50c(burst) 3700mah. Cost a lot of pennies! On static test ( 30 secs) Power at 586 watts, drops to 502 within 15 secs, then stays constant. ( The Loong max did 636 and dropped to about 486ish). On flight test - Powers away - zoom up and down for approx 3 mins on roughly half throttle, and land. Check lipo, and it is WARM. Not quite hot, but not far off, and I'm worried now about puffing, so flying stops ( the loong max cost half of this, and I'm gutted by that loss!)! I 'm using a 60 amp esc, and 5a uBEC, so by rights, this battery shouldn't even feel the strain at all. Anyone expain to me why this not so fast plane seems to me to be a lipo killer?

Just looking through what this plane is supposed to do, and b**locks... it's designed for 3S lipos! Jeebus! If I used 3S on this, they'd look like a blimp within the first minute! No way am I treating my lipos to that sort of abuse! They cost too much!!
