I know this question has been asked many times but what is the BEST prop to use on the stock cub LP for a beginner flyer. THANKS

Stock prop-no messing around with fitting.
Want to mess around? GWS 10x6 and APC 10x5 thin electric (pointy tip NOT slow fly) are cheaper BUT you have to fit them.

PITA? Yes. Worth it? Up to the individual. For GWS you generally have to ream them out and do it accurately. They are 3mm holes and the Cub is 4mm. The adapters for APC seem cleverly constructed to fit nothing properly. OTOH, you may as well jump in because it's an ugly fact of RC life. There is an amazing amount of deliberate non-standardization in this sport.
Those props are cheaper but they don't actually work any better than the stock prop.
Dillzio uses a Master Airscrew prop. Apparently tougher. I've never used them. Be aware that dorking a tougher prop may save the prop at the expense of tearing out your firewall/motor mount or bending shafts. That force needs to go somewhere. Sometimes a prop is a decent sacrifice.

No damage, eh? People say that all the time. Check again...carefully. There's usually something, somewhere. There's a lot more force in those crashes than a flier often credits. Undiscovered damage gets to be the flaw that creates the next crash. It's a good idea to know how the engine compartment is put together beforehand, rather than have to ask after it's been trashed.

I checked every inch of it after crash all ok. I put new prop on glued a
few parts of foam that broke off wing and took off again with no
problems flew great. I lucked out on that I'm going over it again now
so far so good. landing gear bent a little plane leaning left a bit
is anything else I should check ? thanks for all the info. one more
question what is the biggest battery you can go with ?

No idea-I tend to be a ' go light freak'. Folks put 2200 in them all the time, but you have to chop the battery box for anything larger than stock. Actually even stock is awfully cramped. Lots of details in the forum on that mod. You could maybe go even larger if you simply HAD to but that's getting kinda heavy.
A good balance between time and performance seems to be around 1600, especially with a motor upgrade that requires more power than stock.

Prudent decision. HZ, as much as I dislike their proprietary tactics, puts out some fairly well thought out planes and products. The SC is one of them. There is a huge push to upgrade, at least in this forum, often leading to an 'interesting' plane but also 'interesting' results.
Best time to upgrade is when you have enough info, and can't stand NOT upgrading.
BTW, in this field there is likely no 'best' anything. It's all opinions and compromises. There certainly are better products and more attractive prices along with some incredible garbage. Sorting it out can be more challenging than flying.

Hi guys
Need your expertise...
I have an Eflite 480 1020kv motor on my cub and currently i installed a MAS 10x5E prop on it using the included prop adapter from the motor. Now, i bought a GWS 10x6HD prop and plan to install it, do I have to rim the prop to fit on the prop adapter? are there spinner that would fit into my motor and prop(GWS)?
Thanks

I have used GWS 1060 props from day one. I just drill it out until it fits over the shaft. I have never had a problem. Precision is not crucial with this airplane.
