What can you do in three hours? -watch one "lord of the rings" movie -find a diamond in minecraft -watch 12 episodes of "invader zim" -make over twenty dollars at a minimum wage job -blow off 3 classes at high school
OR
CHARGE ONE OF MY @#$% LIPOS!
take my advice. DONT skimp out on your battery charger. i have to wait over 6 hours to charge both of my batteries, but that's what i get for buying a 12 dollar charger. that's the first thing i'm replacing, hopefully in the near future.

actually, my cub will go for atleast 20 minutes per battery. maybe longer, but it's wing snapped in half on the last flight, so i don't really know. it's finally airworthy again, so it'll be out asap.

Higgs, I'm not sure why it takes that long. I know you are young(ish), and can't buy what you want, but could you put up what charger you are using, and also what batteries you are using, so we can advise you what to ask your parents for?? Also, from a parents point of view, good for you! My son is 13, but sems to think he's 21 (18 in the UK). Not drinking or smoking, but, 'I should be allowed to do what I want'. I'm not sure if you have any restrictions on you, but please believe me, it's because we actually give a s**t about you, and we don't want you A) to get dead, or b) to make someone else dead, or c) to get pregnant . We seriously care. Don't do it! Or do it but be safe..( safe sex).. Hmmm, I sound just like my parents... Wittering, concered parent

higgsbosonman Check out this site I have a charger very similar to this one. www.hobbypartz.com/tht6smbach16.html Can not beat it for the price. I will say thought spend a little more for one like this. www.hobbypartz.com/skychb6chdup.html Then you can just plug it into the wall for AC power, or still take it to the field and use 12VDC. I buy alot of my stuff from this site. I buy all my lipos from them. May not be the best but works for me and I have been lucky enough to not have problems with any of it. Try to get it rgiht first time around with them, sending stuff back, and getting a refund, or a swap can be a pain. shipping is free over 25.00 My help, and opinion, up to you. Have fun George

Chargers- DC only vs AC.
ALL RC chargers are DC. Those that plug into the wall just have a built in power supply. Of the various incarnations of 'clones' that George points out the ones that look pretty similar, but have AC capability, are indeed the SAME charger but with a 5A laptop power supply in the fat upper section.
When you try to but an all-in-one unit you often end up compromising on the quality of the power supply or the charger quality/ability. Something has got to give even in the world of cheap Chinese parts.
