Who like's road trips? I for one love them. I guess the comfort of your own truck/car is one of the reasons (freedom), and just getting the heck out of town. I love hotels and room service with a good breakfast in the AM. Something about road trips really gets me going. I am on one right now so I figured I would see who else likes them. I even have a 2 month old with...most folks say we are crazy for doing so but we are having a ball. She doesn't mind it either (she being my 2 month old daughter Lilly). My woman is so cool she even let me bring my SC and the Blade CX2 for entertainment while at her families house for visit. All of her family was outside watching the Sc do rolls, loops, stalls, hover over grandpa's head was pretty funny too.
So what's your take on road trips?

To be honest I usually dread going on long trips. This summer we took a vacation to the black hills in south dakota. If I remember right it was about a 6 hour drive. With three little ones in the car it turned out to be a 8 hour drive but after it was done I realized I really enjoyed it. I guess I just dread the thought of it.

I like road trips. I honestly like to go by myself. I seem to meet more people when I'm by myself. I hope to be going to Sault Ste. Marie (Canada side). There is a bushplane museum that I've been wanting to visit for long time now. I love taking a road trips to chicago. I've been to Chicago over 100 times in my life. My ultimate goal is to live in Chicago (downtown) for a year, But becuase of my job situation and family I'm only able to piece this goal out at 3 to 4 day increments. I'd love to take a road trip out west and take this log home building class. www.loghomebuilders.org/ Anyone want to go?

Skip the class and lets go fishing.....I can teach you about building log homes while we are on the road. Heck we can even stop in Chicago for a hotdog and pizza and get out west and see the redwoods......lol. I'm always game for road trips too. Wish the kids were car friendly!

Depends on the nature of the trip.
A 4 hour ride on a usuall trip sucks, the destination is the good part.
A 2 day trip across 4 states in one of my 60 Buicks or my 57 Plymouth Fury is a blast. The ride is the treat. A short ride in a 50 Ford is nice even though there is manual steering, 3 on the tree, an AM radio that barely works, vacum wipers that stop when you step on the gas and a crusing speed of 55. The Ambulances, patrol cars and hearses are fun to but the cops tend to harass you in an a squad car or ambulance.
