anyone know anything about BANANA HOBBY or NITROPLANES ? I'm looking on buying a jet. I don't want to spend alot being it would be first jet or can someone recommend a good place to buy one. I'm hoping to find a BNF to use with my DX6i or I guess I could go with the RTF and change out the RX would like to buy in the US.

Nitroplanes generally has a decent reputation. Banana has a BAD reputation. Both have pretty cheap prices. Both have beautiful and deceptive advertising. ALL their planes seem suitable for trainers > advanced and are "crash resistant".......right.....
Do your homework before you buy anything resembling a jet from either. Some are OK, some will work after you fix them up, some are crap. Most likely cheap=crap.

Phase 3 is known as a good starter. Stryker would be another if prop-jet is OK.
The vast majority of cheap EDF will be seriously disappointing. People seem to think they are a big deal. In reality they are a very small, very inefficient bunch of props in a can. Not until you throw some $$ at them do they start to get decent.

Since you want BNF and are willing to spend a little I suggest the Habu: secure.hobbyzone.com/PKZ7080.htmlGood looking, good flying, with Horizon backing. Everything is good but the charger which is lame. If you are NOT familiar with jets and EDF you have a VERY HIGH likelihood of dorking this in the first 30 seconds and ruining a $300 investment. This is true of ALL EDF jets with some being harder to fly than others. Take that into account.
