Hey gang, I was going through my latest videos, and check out this still I pulled from one of them. I often try to catch the airplanes from the local airport in my videos, looks like I finally managed it!

Is it just me, or are or you flying near the flight path of light aircraft? Looks like a glider to me, T-Tail, or am I just making that up?

There is an airport near where I fly my plane, you can see it in most of my in flight videos. Yeah, I fly near their flight path all the time, sometimes they circle around and come in closer for a better look. Sometimes it looks like we get pretty close from the ground, but then i see something (like my plane catch up to a real plane) that makes me realise that we're actually a lot further apart than it looks.
I've heard of airport security coming up to people that had a scaffold prodtuding into their air space, but they've never approached me before so I don't think I've bothered any pilots so far, I suspect my foam plane would be no more dangerous to them than some of the large water birds we get in the area. It's light aircraft in the pic, but not a glider.

Here in the states, I fly within one half mile of an airport (MSO) and I have never been bothered for doing so. As far as I know the rules are that when you fly within 3 miles of an airport you must remain under 400ft and yield the right of way to any manned aircraft. The plane must be less then 2 lbs and not fly faster than 60mph.

the ceiling here in antigo is about 1000 feet, but i'm about two miles from a very small airport, no terminal, just hangers. they don't usually notice if you go above, because radar just registers a little blip, and they dismiss it as a bird or something. atleast that's what i've been told.
