i just finished installing the bf109g 15bl 720kv (out of crashed plane) in my super cub using a trojan t28d motor mount! very simple!  i also used a 1/4" carbon rood to strengthen wing! flew it tonight in pretty steady 7mph winds and man its a whole new plane! nice vertical climbs up to about 250ft in no time! i took most to all the dehideral out when putting carbon in wing and man it corners so much better!!! |

720kv, what size prop are you using? I think at least 11 or 12 would be needed, or a 9 inch three blade.
Taking the dihedral out does make it much more aerobatic, but makes it much more of a 'hands on' flier as well. The stock cub just about flies itself, but once you lose your dihedral you really need to keep an eye on the thing, and correct it once it starts to roll one way or the other.

i messed around with props for a lil bit tryin the stock messerschmitt 3 blade it works pretty well, also used a trojan prop slower speed but still flys fast and good. i am going to try the single blade messerschmitt next!
I think it flys much better with the wing flat. more scale! you dont have to apply up elevator when cornining. put you do have to correct it when you come out of the corner just as you would with ails.

put the three blade messerschmitt prop on and flew it! it will climb to no end! i also put ailerons on today and man its a whole new plane! i can now 3-D this thing! would have necer thought i could!
