Hi guys. I have a Hobbyzone Mini Super Cub and am keen to upgrade my landing gear and wheels to those of a normal Super Cub. I've found a local supplier who has them for sale for NZ$19.90 (http://www.acornmodels.co.nz/products/aircraft-accessories/hobbyzone-spares-and-accessories/59893/) and am wondering if I will have any trouble putting them on my model. They look the same sort of setup, although mine doesn't have spats. Does anyone know whether they will clip in ok? At the moment my stock mini wheel landing gear just 'pushes' in but doesn't clip and the whole thing comes right out if I bulk the landing... I've had to tape them in for the time being. I'm hoping the larger wheels will help overcome friction on grass and allow me to takeoff from and land from the surface. The weight difference looks marginal although as I'm a newbie I'm unsure on the resultant effect? Cheers, Andy.

Having seen and flown the Mini cub ( Thanks colin!), I have to say that the wheels will look like the Alaskan cubs shown elsewhere on this site. I'm not sure the undercarriage or even the wheels will fit. If you are adventourous, shoe-horn the undercarrige into the mini SC. Price wise, a tenner in english money seems a lot ( plus postage!) Try ebay, and see if you can get a few dollars off. PS: does NZ need midwifes? We're thinking about moving, and it's either NZ ( I have quite a bit of family living in christchurch) or Canada ( Where she has a bit of family, but which doesn't have an NHS). PPS: Welcome to the site!

you can buy the whole assembly from hobbyzone for $7 plus shipping. 20 bucks is insanly expensive unless it's hard to get stuff out to New Zealand
