Has anyone flown a ParkZone J-3 Cub? Which would you rather have, a J-3 or a SC? Why? I noticed that Horizon Hobby is coming out with a brushless/lipo version of the J-3 this month. Would you rather convert an SC to brushless/lipo or buy a factory brushless/lipo J-3? www.hobbyzone.com/rc-planes-parkzone-j-3-cub-bl-rtf.htm

have had both the parkzone cub and the decathalon....both are the biggest flying junkyards that i have ever owned!!!!!! hobbyzone cub is the best that any plane of this type will ever be. save your money and fustration by not getting either one of these two planes....was gonna get the mustang, but saw it when a fried had it. the plane is so delicate that he was afraid to fly it. with just a MILD nose landing, it wrinkeled as if it was hit with a hammer. i will not ever purchase anything that parkzone makes ever again. just my opinion, but what you want to do is up to you. so far, the best plane that they have is the super cub. it will do it all, and i love the plane, just as is, out of the box. no modifications need be done to this plane. just fly it in the way it was intended..........................tom/corsair

Hobbyzone SC is the best RTF I have ever flown in 12 yrs in the hobby. That's a great endorsement. I've only flown rc planes for three months and so I have just limited experience with other models. What impresses you the most about the SC?

Well....I like the fact that it flies somewhat scale like. It is rather stable. It can take a beating, is forgiving, fun to fly, bigger than most RTF's and big for its price. It is just a nice plane. It is a good platform for pictures, upgrades, airfoil experimenting you name it. Its not going to become a 3d plane or a scream machine but it does what it is supposed to do: fly well. And even though I have heard of some people having quality issues with it...I have been lucky enough to have no problems with any of the stock gear. It has performed better than I expected. I think it really sets the bar for what an RTF should be in this price range. Pod and boom RTFs have their place, but they simply dont fly as well as this type of platform. Nuff rambling
