The super cub LP is designed to run off a 3s battery, not a 2s. it will run with that battery, but you'd need to use a bigger prop, and you would have less power than if you used a 3S. Don't get zippy batteries from ebay, they're being resold. You may as well get them from the wholesaler yourself, hobbyking. I think this is the lipo you're looking for here... www.hobbyking.com/hobbyking/store/uh_viewitem.asp?idproduct=6307I wouldn't recommend anything much heavier than that for the stock super cub.

Thank you, Dillzio for the correction and info. I was bummed to see that they are on back order. Time to be patient I guess. I just want an additional battery.

Much thanks! Can this be charged with the charger that comes with my SC?

no probs chad.
Have you modified your batt box yet? If not, you'll need to to get this battery to fit.
This three part video contains some mods you should consider a 'must'. Fixes some inherent weaknesses in the cub's design.
In case you're not aware, you'll also have to change the power connectors on your different batteries or your plane so that they're all of the same type.

Haven't received my Cub yet. Should be here tomorrow! I'm anxious! Not sure what you mean by changing the connectors?

Just a bit of soldering involved if u dont no how to have a look on youtube its easy....most lipos arnt sold with the batt connector that plugs in to ur reciver box connector, so u will have to buy a pack of...then solder a male on ur lipo....hope this makes sense!!

Uh, no....solder the FEMALE on your lipo. You don't want energized prongs sticking out to short stuff.

Seriously, you are using male ends on the lipo? That may be OK for some connectors that are properly shielded. For something like Deans it's just asking for a short and maybe a fire.

haha, i had some guy PM me on the forum here a while ago asking why his battery near on exploded on him, turns out he had male deans on the battery, they touched a metal workbench, it melted the spring clips on the deans terminals together and made a permanent short.
