:)off topic for a moment. My last crash caused a problem with SD card in my flycam one. ive called in all help needed so far untill now. Its a kingston 1gb card and when i go to down load my vids it comes up that the data is corrupt. Now the problem is that ive been told to format the card  How is this done Thanks for any help |

Open up "My Computer". You should see a drive letter thats your card. Right click on it and select "Format". It will erase all the data on the card and recreate the file system structure..
This usually solves that issue.. Hope you didnt have too much valueable data on it... SD cards are by no means a "safe" data storage media...

 Thanks surjer. done it but computer says cannont complete format. Its had it, hasent it, go on you can tell me, ive only got 40 pics from the moto gp in valencia on it and 3 vids of the plane.

Yep - its toast! sorry... (There are some programs out there that can try to recover bad data)
Do a search for memory card undelete on google...

more then likely your out of luck. if its giving errors like that more then likely the raw data is damaged. did your camera make it out alive, i would be more worried about that, memory cards are cheap. hopefully you can recover at least some of the video.

FINE. As you said SD cards cheap, can get 1GB for around £15 on EBUYER.  |

ya its whats on the card thats the worst to lose. your lucky getting to go to a moto gp race, im jealous, i wanted to go to an ama superbike race this year but had to work. like other said there are programs that can recover data even if the file table is destroyed.
