Yeah, if it actually worked for planes you would have heard LOTS and LOTS about it a LONG time ago. This comes up as a magic bullet every once in awhile.

seems like a pretty simply little gadget, the capacity fills up when the current's high, then if the current drops it starts to empty itself. You could make your own with a really big capacitor (10F or something like that).

like a golf-ball-sized one? that's what i think it would need. if you want to pull something like this, just buy a seperate reciever bat. ditch the pathetic BECs entirly. i didn't know you could power the Rx through any channel...

Yes, it would need a BIG cap. If you do that, may as well improve the reliability even more and get an RX battery. And Yes-You can use any RX channel you aren't using or even Y it in if necessary.
