Well, I just bought my SC about two weeks ago. I have no flying experience but I built a Hobbico Superstar 40 ARF for my little brother about 5 or 6 years ago but we never flew it due to the fact that we knew we'd smash it. So I am using the SC to learn how to fly. I've had about 16 flights so far with no crashes so I really love this plane. Anyway, in my rush to make it to work on time this morning I somehow managed to leave my TX in the bed of my truck with my bike all day while it rained. I got out of work and was getting ready to go fly as we usually have light wind here in Atl and noticed my TX sitting in a 4" deep puddle of water in the bed of my truck. Well at this point I was sure it was shot but I immed. took out the batteries to prevent any short that had not already happened. I then went home and opened her up and sat her on a fan. Took about a two hour nap, woke up to a dry TX, and decided to check it out along with the LED's I put on my wing, as it was getting dark. Oh yeh, my DirecTV DVR also seemed fried when I got home to add to my devastation. Turned out to only be overheated , so I was having one hell of a bad day. Got to the field just as it was getting dark, did a few range tests, and everything seemed fine. So I took off, flew for about 10 minutes, did a few touch and go's with my new flashing blue LED's, then landed. Good as new. Can't believe it. Oh yeh, I know we all love our SC's and all, but has anybody thought of using the x-port to ignite rockets on their SC's "fairwell" flight? Wouldn't do it but just wondering if possible?
