HI! i'm totally inexperianced in the field of depron aircraft, or any other aircraft really, but i was hunting around on the internet about a week ago, and found the coolest depron plane i've ever seen. this is going to be the airplane after the cub, at least i hope so... but i don't know what to make it out of. Depron isn't exactly available in the US (building codes don't allow it for floor insulation, which is what it is used for in europe and other places), and the cost to order it is insane ($50 for enough depron for one plane?), so i was wondering if the blue fold or pink fold would work instead. the only stuff i can get here is the pink fold, but i can get blue fold in appleton. the instructions for the plane say you can use bluefold. is there really a difference between the two? here's a link to the plane (it's got thrust vectoring, just like the real thing!) www.parkjets.com/f-22-jetset44/i was also looking at the F/A-18 and the F-14

you did notice they suggest the F22 not be your first build? I'd be interested in building an F15 or F18.

...no, i didn't see that disclaimer. it said you have to be good with bending the foam stuff with a heat gun. i have a feeling a hair dryer won't work. if that's the case, i'll print plans at this one printer dude down the street, and start with either the F-15 or the F-18 after the cub's good to go. thanks for pointing that disclaimer out leisureshoot.

Ahhh.....don't start on any of the above as a first depron (I speak from personal experience!), Do start on blackrats depron eurofighter - easy to build and easy to fly, and, flies on just about any power setup. It can be printed on a home printer, stuck together, cut out, placed on foam, cut to shape and built in about 2 hours using hot glue! www.rcgroups.com/forums/showthread.php?t=543570.... but it's so tiny... the F-15 is like 5 feet long, and i've built dozens of things that don't seem to approach the complexity of a depron airplane (exept melting foam- no meaningful experience there), and i would like to get to a giant (or at least bigger) airplane after the cub. if i totally suck with the F-15 when i get to it, and looks like I cut the parts out with a steak knife, you can say "i told you so" with no reprocussions. nobody knows the difference between the two foams?
