So I got a little cocky about my flying ability and decided to try and fly the cub at the house with not much room to manuver. End result was a stall just as I passed over the house on takeoff... Had to slow down to make the turn back and guess I slowed her to much with not enough room to correct. My wfe heard the horrible sound of impact and was not the happiest. A little , ok alot of epoxy and some match sticks and a quick run to the hobby shop and she was back in action on ski's... Kinda. As I taxied for take off the ESC decided it was not in the mood to work anymore and burned up. Time to spend more money Attachments:

Thats the biggest problem with this hobby........ You make a mistake, and you pay for it big time!

You busted a wing! Man that is hard core. You should consider a little reinforcement with tape, or carbon fiber! :-) So if you did manage to take off from your back yard, how did you plan to land the thing afterwards? You need more room to land than you do to take off. Perhaps you should consider getting a mini cub instead? They don't call the big one a "Parkflier" for nothing Actually, I have a mate with a Parkzone Mini-Trojan, that's a very cool plane :-) Trying to fly a plane with a wingspan of over a meter from a yard or a street is usually going to end in tears.

I had the length that I needed for a take off and landing, I guess I didn't have the width I would like to get the mini cub or champ for when I don't have time to head to the soccer fields.
