OH That looks painfull, how and why did you turn your cub into a crash test dummy is it easy to fix, being new to cubs i would have been devastated.

hi garvey yea it was easily fixed with some two part epoxy and was back in the air later that day. its the first time ive seen this break thats why i posted. the crash that caused it was nothing spectacular. thats the beauty of the SC though...some glue and tape and youre back in the air in no time

My SC got in a similar situation once...the firewall had completely unglued from the foam and it and the cowl where completely pulling away from the fuselodge when I powered up. But, like you, two part epoxy fixed it right up

This happened to me on a light tumble crash after a tree clip. I've crashed my Cub a lot worse with no damage. A little clear tape and I was flying again in 3 minutes. I like tape for quick fixes. Later back in the garage more permanent repairs are made. When using tape, be careful not to seal up the cowl as air needs to get out the back.
