I was flying at dusk, when the wind is calm. I had a nice takeoff from the running track and decided to turn behind the goal posts.
Objects in flight are closer than they appear, especially at dusk. Yes, the wing caught the goal post.
A misplaced wing and a broken prop were all I got, besides the laughter of a group of teenage girls that thought it was pretty cool...

Yeah, I've been in a tree 2x at the local field. I was SURE I was turning at least 20-30 feet in front of it. I was shocked when, THWAP, it stuck in the branches. Also nailed a small brush on landing when I thought I was clear. One cost me a wing, the brush poked a hole in the fuse. I keep well clear now.

I learned that the hard way. Twice. My first plane, the Firebird Freedom, hit a goal post shearing one wing in half. My Super Cub ended up in a tree after coming out of a loop. I could have sworn I was way past the forest. Fortunately, it survived. Bent the prop shaft, but I managed to straighten it out much better than I thought it would.

Goal posts are mean when they don't move out of the way. I broke the fuselage back by the tail a couple weeks ago hitting the goal post.

Basketball post are just as evil. I hit two of them in one outing last week while practicing landing on pavement. No damage. Taping the leading edge of the wing with packing tape really makes a difference with the SC. That, and running a strip of tape over the front lip of the battery box.

Yep, hit basketball backboard and nailed a backstop as well, but no real damages, unfortunately was windy and trying to get set correctly for a landing was too low and snagged a tree but waaay high and still there, noway to get it down, out of range for a pogo tho made contact with a taped up bamboo lodged too firmly...my fault was careful with first 4 dozen flights nearing 60 was simply careless...
