Should The Cub Glide?

Hi

I've only flown the cub a few times so still not that good with it yet! Just wondering if the cub should glide level when you let go of the controls and switch the motor off. Mine seemed to just nose dive.

Is that normal? I'm guessing it maybe should drop at the nose but this is my first ever plane!

It depends on the severity of the dive. I should go nose down and start a glide slope down. It should not tip nose down and head for the earth....

First check your elevator trim (horizontal tail). Make sure it is trimmed to fly level when you are flying at about 1/2 throttle. Adjust it according to the manual using the turnbuckle on the control rod.

Had a major crash just after takeoff today and snapped the fuslage so never got a chance to see how she flies on half throttle
