Well made my first flight yesterday, with an instructor. It was the first time he had flown a cub and he loved it. It was hard to get it away from him so i could fly. Anyway, on a hand launch take off, i underpowered the cub and ended up in a bean field. After about an hour and a half of looking we found it. Had to use the Tx and work the servos and listen for the sound. Did not think it would be that hard to find and wight plane in a green bean field! So i thought i would get a beeper and attach to the plan, just in case. Anyone out there every use one? Check out the link and let me know if you think it will work. Just turn in on before you fly and if you lose it, listen for it! Should work, I think. www.thinkgeek.com/gadgets/electronic/c427/

the Transolve BeepX is a good one, too. it was built to find gliders in corn fields (not corn!), www.transolve.com/Transolve//ePlaneIndex.html and go to "e-plane products". the beepX will be right there. it's sort of expensive but it's like 105 decibels, one of the loudest on the market. they also make an airspeed guage. the "beacon" you found also doesn't even beep. it makes scratching noises and whispers stuff. it's main purpose is to piss people off. it's also very quiet.

Thanks for the info higgsbosonman, 35 bucks is not bad when your looking for a 2 to 3 hundred dollar plane, and with all the bean and corn fields around me, i need one.
