Sure could use an electronics expert!! Have picked up a bunch of capacitors, hoping to repair my motor, but none have the 104 number on them that is on the originals...have 68's and 151's..would either of these work?

I'm guessing that is the microfared rating. Bigger would be ok.

Hi
104 is the value in pF (pico-farad). The 10 is the prefix and the 4 is the multiplier, so 104 is "10" and "4" zeros ie 100000pF. This can also be written as 100nF (nano-farad) or 0.1uF (micro-farad).
So 68 would be 68pF and 151 would be 150pF, not enough for a good motor suppressor. The value isn't critical, but you want to be looking for something that ends with a "4" ideally, or it may be listed as 100n, 150n, 220n etc.
The capacitor reduces electrical noise and increases the life of the motor by reducing arcing between the brushes and commutator.

Thanks Steve...the best explanation I could ask for. Just have to find a good electronics shop.
