Are all DX6i TXs supplied with a smooth throttle and the ratchet plate seperately in the box or is their normally an option when you purchase. If so do most of you DX6i users bother switching it or just use it smooth?
John
PS I understand that smooth is generally for helis and ratcheted for planes, but I read somewhere recently that smooth was preferable for warbirds.

I put in the ratchet, and tightened all my springs and saw dramatic improvement in my rudder/throttle control from the ratchet, and better aileron, elevator control from the tighter springs.

One more comment... just do it. It is a very easy mod, that you can remove if you don't end up liking it.

Done it! Ratchet swapped and springs tightened, did feel abit loose to start. Though I haven't adjusted the stick lengths yet will see how that feels with time.
Once again thanks for the feedback.
