Spektrum DX6i & Servo speed regulator

Hi there, I was told yesterday in another forum that the DX6i couldnt be used with any external servo speed regulator or reversal. I wasnt the only one to be suprised by this info, we were particularly talking about the Turnigy servo speed regulator but were informed it didnt matter what brand, they simply dont work. The guy who posted it eventually posted the link to where he saw this..... IT WAS SPEKTRUMS OWN WEBSITE!.......... www.spektrumrc.com/Community/InstallationBestPractices.aspx apparently listed under the donts..... I personally dont see anything that says dont use a servo speed regulator. Anybody here have experience of them with the DX6i. I intended to use the Turnigy one on my CMPro Spits Retracts and one on my Cub for flaps.

Any help appreciated, particularly of first hand experience.
