Hello, Today was only my 6th flight in my Cub and I decided to push the envelope and tape my Nano to the bottom of the Cub. It fit so perfectly, flush to the fuse, right behind the nosebowl. I used packing tape, took only two pieces to secure the nano. I took this vid at Mills Pond in Oakland Park, a perfect spot for a park flyer. e-sense.tv/Supercub%20LP/About 1/2 down the vid you'll notice I overflew a busy highway - which was not on purpose. The Cub was way up high and I didn't realize how far it was out, so I only noticed this when watching the vid! Something I will not repeat again. I am going to look into getting a camera specifically for the cub, so I can mount it facing forward. It's a little dizzying to watch straight down, but with the nano I can't think of any other way to point it forward.

Well, first off let me say hello from a fellow South Floridian. Secondly, the link doesn't work and I would love to see the video. I've never flown near Oakland Park but I maidened my BL Super Cub (the one I fly now) close by at Markham Park in Weston.
What busy freeway did you fly over, Sawgrass Expwy? That would make interesting breaking news. lol
Upload that video to YouTube so we can all watch it.

My Norton Security Suite said there was a threat on that site when I tried the link. I didn't go any further.

Hey guys. Crap looks like my site is infected again, didn't even realize it. No problem, I youtubed my 2nd vid, which is much better. I taped the Nano to the side of the Cub, which provided for an almost "passenger" like perspective, and less dizzying. I also did some high flying in this one, but further from I-95. And for a grand finale I did a departure stall and smacked the ground. ;D I'm not sure if I did the embedding properly, youtube is blocked here at work. Here's the full link: www.youtube.com/watch?v=wxB7_UEN3y4

Nice video! The nano shoots videos better than I thought. Sure would hate to have it come loose from the Cub though. Hope you got it good and secure.

Nice video! The nano shoots videos better than I thought. Sure would hate to have it come loose from the Cub though. Hope you got it good and secure. That's the nice thing about the nano, it's completely flush to the fuse. On almost every landing I check to make sure it's tight and it doesn't even budge, even after getting wet with the field mildew. My main gripe is the overexposure, which makes everything black out once you face the sun (and notice the sun isn't even up yet). So I still might look into something better quality down the road. My 3rd video I shot yesterday was even better, smoother and I took the cub up much higher. If I've got time today I'll put that one up on youtube as well.

Ok, sorry for hogging the thread, but forget about the last vid. THIS one came out especially nice. Much smoother and I also flew much higher, providing for much nicer views of the area. No cheesy youtube music either, in case you like the whine of the motor. ;D

Nice vid propwash. Very smooth flying on them right hand turns. Maybe you could make a mount from packing foam that the Nano will sit in facing forward, then attach to the cub.
