Hi. New to the board. This is my camera mod. The camera is a Canon SD940is. I picked it because it does very good HD video and it is very small and lite. I cut a whole in the port side of the fuselage enough for the lens and sensor to see out. The camera is basically balanced inside and is very close to the cg. It points slightly down and I also crafted a piece of foam to wedge it in place so it does not move. I flew it over the weekend and it was fine, other than the tree I hit. Oh well, minimum damage. I'll upload the video - including the crash, as soon as I figure out how to do that. Attachments:

And another. This is the foam piece. I disconnected the two sensors and moved the wires around to make a nice flat surface on the ESC/Rx for the camera to sit on. It's pretty secure. The video had no shake whatsoever. I may angle the camera up a little so it is not pointed down so much in a steady bank. The only problem is the video includes the wing struts but it does not affect the focus. Attachments:

That is impressive! Did you save the foam piece so you can tape it in, when not being used for video taking?

does anyone know of any good mounts for the sc with a standard digital camera? Can you be more specific? Are you just looking to mount a pocket sized digital camera onto the outside? Many simply do it with velcro. There are usually small loops that you could run a piece of wire or wire-tie through and attach solidly to your camera asa fail-safe.
