Well I crashed my orange one into some powerlines. You could blame pilot poor judgement but I blame radio interference. Some would say flying over a train between trees and powerlines is dumb but I have done it 50+ times without incedent.
I heard the train horn so I landed and loaded a bomb(d cell battery) hand launced ito the wind and began to circle the tracks. as soon as the frieght cars were underneath I began my run on the train. I got low and fast comming between the trees and power lines. I hit the drop button and nothing happened. The plane was completely unresponsive. The plane was slowing down and climbing into a stall with the motor dead. She then made a hard left turn and dove strainght into the bottom power line. The plane sort of hung for a second before falling 30 feet to the ground. The bomb module and bomb were about 5 feet from the plane and the plane and wing were on top of each other twitching. The only damage other than a bend landing gear is broken wing struts and a 1 inch deep cut into the wings leading edge were it hit the power line.
I have done this so many times without any interference but I have been told that a common CB radio will interfere with a PZ radio if on the right channel. Apperantly this trains radio was on my channel.
This was the first eventful landing for "Lucky 100" and the first day flying with a 150 dollar micro camcorder in the front windsheild and a 90 dollar lipo battery so I am relieved to retrieve my plane. I am very relieved to get her back almost unscaved.
Top of the wing.
Bottom of the wing
Top of rudder, missing position light.
Split elevator
Bent landing gear, chipped cowl paint
