I got me a bomb drop today. I dropped the included parachute guy twice and the streamer bombs once. Woohoo I then had a great idea!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!Eggs. No good can come from this. The only modification is free. use one of the little rubberbands that hold the wheel skirt to the strut as shown. super glue the rubber band in place other wise it will fall off with the egg. This is what happens when an egg hits fresh aspault from 500 feet. a loud smack and bits of egg in every direction for 25 feet. the best thing about my flying site is it has train tracks at the south end about 300 yards from my new paved runway. A train will pass every half hour or so and when I hear the whistle I land load an egg and fresh battery then take off and circle the tracks. I can make 3 to 4 bomb runs on one train. You will have to hand launch a plane loaded with an egg because of the eggs size. So far I have dropped 1 dozen eggs, 2 banannas, one old cell phone, several rocks and all my old transmitter batteries.

LOL!!!! Just don't drop one on you or anyone else's head My boys love the parachute drop but for me it gets kinda old because I can't watch the army dude float to the ground. If I did my airplane would be a smokin hole Never thought of dropping anything else. I guess I thought the magnet wouldnt' be strong enough. Thanks for proving me wrong. Ever had the egg come loose during hand launch and land on you? Todd

Very cool. There is always something that can be dropped from 500 feet laying on the shelf somewhere.

Hmmmmmmmm. Why do good ideas usually involve something illegal. I shoot black powder firearms and as such I tend to have a lot of black powder and percussion caps. I could make a simple "bomb" casing with a cap on the nose and a small charge of powder. Would make a real neat bomb. A loud bang and a cloud of white smoke. It would be ideal for the place I fly since I have 50 acres of nothing but graded dirt and new streets but I'm sure there are laws against it because if not someone would be dropping charges as strong as dynamite in populated areas.
I guess I will stick to eggs and paint in film canisters.

I understand dropping exposives from an RC plane violates national rc flight rules from some rc organization, but can't name which one. It would get you banned from rc airfields.

we used to use toilet paper tubes and eggs with tissue paper rubberbanded to the end to allow the eggs to fall out when turned upwards. That was 15 years ago on a balsa USA trainer 40 and it was so much fun. I would put 2 eggs in each side of the fuse (in tubes) and off I went. I hit a seagull once and it fell about 30 feet and started flying as normal again....was funny as heck though.

In that case, I will not say what I have launched off my helicopters. Ooops.

lol....better to keep the illegal stuff off the boards. We want everyone to have a safe and fun experience. I like your thinking though. Anything that fun is definatley illegal in the U.S..

"Anything that fun is definatley illegal in the U.S.."
I wouldn't be suprized if the railroad calls the authoritys for attacking trains with eggs. I do go after the lead locomotive.
This country is to politicaly correct trying to protect everyone from everything. I wonder how long until a happy meal from Mcdonalds is illegal because it is not healthy? My father had wood burning kits, 22 caliber guns, metal toy cars cherry bombs and erector sets. This was 1950's. Today I can't buy a stuffed teddy bear for my son that does not have a warning label on it saying he needs to be 3 years old to play with it. I grew up in the 80's and can remember transformers with all the tiny pieces and GI Joe with those limbs we would blow off with legal fireworks. I remember being able to buy spray paint for model cars with out being carded. (You have to be 30 in some places to buy spray paint!) Riding bikes without a redicoulous looking helmets!!! bb guns, sling shots etc. My grandfather grew up in Mississippi 1930's, started smoking tobacco and drinking when he was 5, started driving when he was 8. He never had a BB gun they gave him a 12 gauge and taught him how to use it! He sounds like a bad kid but that was just typical for the time period. He joined the army at 17 and fought in WW2 to protect this country. He's 84 now, still has all his fingers and toes and partly because he grew up in a world where you were responsble for your own actions. If the laws are right why do we have old people....the laws weren't there 50 years ago to "protect" them.

60buick.....I couldn't agree with you more. This world has gone crazy with laws. I had my share of run in's with the law over petty crap like the above. I never hurt anyone or anything that wasn't meant to be hurt.....but it was still illegal. The U.S. is getting a lil out of hand with some of it's laws. Maybe when kids are older we will move to northern Canada. It seems like no one is ever pissed at canada and canada is not sticking it's nose where it don't belong. If I didn't have kids and an ex-wife I would have moved there a while back. Have fun dropping anything you want. Kevin

new things dropped today. about a dozen D batteries 2 large smoke bombs the mouse my cat drug on the porch this morning. The old DVD players remote 15 crayons a 1/32 scale diecast car Here is how I modified the batteries. They drop with a real nice thud. Looks more like a bomb, and takes about 30 seconds to do one. Cardboard fins, tape and paint. Smoke bombs. They burn for about 2 minutes and leave a lot of smoke. I flew around with them until they were almost spent. I have never seen an RC plane emit so much white smoke.

After all, we are the land of the free - or not! Our founding fathers would be rolling in their graves at the number of restrictions we have in our "free" country.
