So I'm shopping around to try to upgrade my Super Cub without breaking the bank. Here's a quick list of the parts I'm considering: www.hobbyking.com/hobbyking/store/uh_wishListPublic.asp?email=benjamin.leedy@gmail.com&idCustomer=280354 It will definitely be a couple years at least before I even think about getting a different plane, so I think the HobbyKing TX is all I need. This is just an occasional thing. If there are any compelling reasons I should change any of these items or go with a different vendor, please pipe in. I'm not trying to build a stunt plane, just get a bit of an upgrade from the proprietary junk. Oh, Part of it all is that I will be doing flaps and ailerons (or flaperons) as well down the road.

Well that setup IS PLENTY for a stunt plane. lol. It's good power all except that 2S lipo. You need a 3S 3-Cell 11.4 volt LiPo. Try the Zippy 2200 mAh 3S1P 20C LiPo; they're awesome and cheap. Also, do not forget to buy a few propellers.

Alright, I changed it. Yeah, I'll pick up props at my LHS. Actually I'll get as much of this stuff as I can there too, but they aren't well stocked IIRC. Thanks for the input.

What props would you recommend with that motor?

Most folks use a 10x6 APC-style prop. I like Master AirScrew props too.

So what charger would you recommend for lipo's? I just need something to keep the SC going. Would the charger that comes with the LP model work? Is there a better one for a comparable price to the LP charger + wall adapter?

I bought my Super Cub LP back in early June, this year. I've put about 30 flights on it with a few crashes! I'm also looking at doing an upgrade in the future. I found a 400-480 size brushless motor mount from Hobby Zone for the Super Cub for under $20. link: secure.hobbyzone.com/search/CRCA1021.htmlWildman
