Ok, so I finally got to make my very first ever rc flight today. And when I say first I'm pretty sure I've never even been present when somebody else was flying an rc plane. Forgive the camera work as my son had his last swim lessons today and my wife wasn't with me to act as my camera crew. The wind was literally 6mph for the first time in several days so I had to go it alone. All that means is there was no zooming because the camera was taped to my head...LOL. ;D If you have an aversion to the bands system of a down and Led Zeppelin just mute after the launch. I used two of their more mellow songs. I ran two batteries through it and didn't break anything that i know of. I had two nose-downs upon landing in tall grass as to be expected My deans connector did have one of the wires break off the esc connector from a bad solder tho just before I ran a third pack through it. By that time my wife and son had arrived and of course it just confirmed that all RC stuff is constantly broken in their minds. Anyway I could type all night about these two flights. Here's the video. Sorry again for no zoom. There are times that the plane seems to disappear but in reality I never lost sight of her. I guess my camera just has bad eyes. www.youtube.com/watch?v=jrSribWKHy4should be in HD when it's done processing....i think?

Thanks! Yeah I got a little carried away with the loops...lol. I'm sure it didn't help my flight time any. And i'm not completely sure you can call that a landing even with a wink! haha...I picked a bad place really for a first flight because there really was nowhere to land at all. That road was crazy bumpy and full of rocks. I was glad for the tall weeds and mesquite. Kept it from a heavy impact. Thanks for watching. I can't wait to fly it again.

Awesome!! Got that outa the way. It's all downhill from here. I'll never forget my first maiden...erm...flight that is. Yeah, I half expected to see your hat cam dart for the hill after it dissapeared. One of my first landings I lost sight of her as she was heading for a baseball diamond backstop. I got lucky there was no damage. I rated your vid and sent you an invite. Keep em coming!

It was awesome!. I was actually just wearing a new era cap. Luckily it was black and I was in a semi remote area because I basically just used electrical tape and taped it to my head....lol. The only way I could have looked any nerdier tho is to have been wearing a helmet...LOL
About the landing: it actually didn't crash behind that hill. It's a pretty good optical illusion tho cuz it sure looked like it did. It took a few views of the full vid for me to figure out what happened. I actually brought it back around coming towards me just about a hundred feet or so in front of my truck. My cam lost sight of it and where I ended the video it made it look like it crashed but i actually landed - sort of - in tall weeds and a small mesquite bush. I should have left the retrieval in the video.
