It's been very nice around here lately, windy but nice. So my son and I grabbed the cub and went flying. It was a little breezy but not too bad. I dedicated the video to someone that has meant a lot to me and my family for many years. Flying and music, what a great form of expression. I've always wanted to fly to this song so...I made it happen.

The cub was painted with Krylon Fusion paint. It holds up really well. Any blemishes that I do get I touch up with regular Testors paint. It just so happens that the paint that I get is a perfect match for my plane so it's an easy touch up. I made the "Aces High" graphix myself using Paint Shop Pro. Once I applied them I covered them with packing tape. That's Jessica Rabbit on the side. Below is a link to more pics. Looking forward to some footage of your maiden! have a good flight! supercubclub.proboards.com/index.cgi?board=pantng&action=display&thread=2729

Awesome paint. Really great job. I think I am going to enjoy customizing my cub as much as I will flying it. Even before the first flight i have been daydreaming and window shopping customizations for the cub and even my second plane! Turns out i may be more of a modeler than pilot. Then again I haven't experienced flight yet!!! Can't wait to learn. keep up the good work. Have you painted or built any other planes yet? edit:// I might say too it looks like it may be a good thing if I turn out to be more into modelling than flying with the way the wind is here. i always knew it was windy but I never had any reason to care until now...i may only get to fly a couple of times a month around here. Leaves plenty of time for paint and coverings...

This is my first plane. I recently purchased Realflight Basic RC Simulator which has a J-3 Cub in the hanger. I have always loved the cub. Even when I couldn't afford to get into RC I would dream about building and flying a cub. I love the whole Bush cub look and idea. Now I'm making my dream come true. My next plane will be an E-Flite J-3 Cub 25 ARF. I'll post a link. It's scale and has everything that I want. The Super Cub has been an excellent trainer for me and the simulator, as I found out yesterday, has come in handy as well. There aren't any choices in the sim that come close to the HZSC but my whole confidence level and knowing the right reaction has come way up. Until yesterday, I hadn't flown the cub for almost two months. (I was away on patrol in the Coast Guard). Yesterday went very smooth as you can see from the video. If you need any advice on the paint job I'll be more than happy to help. Pretty much everything that I learned came from this site and Wattflyer. The only reason that I painted mine so quick was because I was absolutely addicted to the plane and wanted something to do with it. It had been raining and I was getting impatient. ;D My next plane! www.e-fliterc.com/Products/Default.aspx?ProdID=EFL4000
