I think we need a sticky with all the facts about the cub.
Ex: stock motor weight (45g with gear), amperage of the current ESC, prop size: 10x8, Gear Ratio: 3:1, etc.
When something new is found out, we can pm you to update the master list...

This is a good idea.... would it be possible to also have a upgrade option next to it?? ie. what the stock motor etc is and what the upgrade options are?

well i guess ill throw in some i guess. i took the specs off hobbyzones site and added some options. feel free to add on to this list or start a new one, then at the end we can compile it to one big organized list.
• Wing Span: 47.75" • Overall Length: 32.5" • Flying Weight: 25 oz (709 g) • Motor Size: 480 Power, upgrade option is a brushless motor. You can use a inrunner brushless motor like the one from the typhoon or something similar and use the stock gear box. Other option is using a brushless outrunner and making up a motor mount. Easiest way is to reuse the gear box housing and cut off the prop shaft housing. This will keep the thrust angles and should put most motors out far enough to clear the cowl. • Radio: 3 channel proportional FM stock. Can upgrade to a 4+ channel radio system to support ailerons or other channels. • Prop Size: 10 x 8, for upgrades you can go after market, and for size it depends on your preference and what you are looking for. • Speed Control: Power FET proportional ESC/receiver, should be good for about 12-15 amps max • Recommended Battery: 7 cell 8.4V 1000mAh Ni-MH, Option is 8 cell Ni-MH or s3 11.1 volt lithium polymer of varying capacity. • Approx. Flying Duration: 10-15 minutes stock, depends on capacity of battery and your flying style. • Gear Ratio: 3:1 • Transmitter Range: 2500 ft. • Available Frequencies: 6 channels on 27 MHz option is 72 MHz for USA or 35 MHz for the UK and many other countries. Also 2.4 GHz spread spectrum is available in most countries now. • Anti-Crash Technology: yes, only option is to disconnect the sensors and use the switch as a dual rate control.
