Hi All. Post a pic of your Super cub in this thread and it will be put up on the home page. It will be shown on the left hand side of the forum. The column that these pics appear in lets the users know if there are any ''new posts'' or ''No new posts'' on the board since your last sign in. So we can have two pics. This is just a simple way of getting members pics up on the home page. Lets start with one pic per member, so two members per month can get there pics up. If this becomes popular then we can change the pics every two weeks. It would be handy if you could resize your pics to 144 X 108 in your image hosting site. This is an example of what size your pic should be. Also, if you just want to resize your images, you can use www.resizr.com/ Any pic will do as long as it has a Super cub somewhere in the frame.

Big Wheel Supercub LP, in the snow. (No, the big wheels don't help there)

Snow? wow man!
Last time I saw terrain that looked like that was at a salt lake.

Anyway, here's your picture resized for POTM: Yeah, sorry I forgot about the size restriction. Imageshack could have resized it smaller, I just chose the "forum" size, not thinking about the first post that specified. I will remember next time.

Hello everyone. Here is my pic. I just finished this mod of the SC. I added ailerons, new electronics, and wing saddle/gear box reinforcements. Flies great!

Ionian, that is a beautiful SC. I was thinking about paint schemes the other day, and that is the one I decided to do when I get better at not crashing. =) Can you give some details on the paint type, color, and decals (unless they were painted on)? I think I can plan on doing my plane in the yellow and lightning bolt scheme sometime this spring.

Hi jbess, Thanks for the kind words. I used Hanger 9 Ultracote cub yellow for the covering. Unfortunately Hanger 9 does not make cub yellow spray paint that matches the covering anymore so I had to match the paint for the cowling the best I could. It still doesn't quite match. Oh well I got the lighting bolt off a bitmap and used "The gimp" (like Photo Shop but free!) to re-size and bucket fill them black. Then I used 8.5 X 11 clear label paper to print out the "new" decals, cut them out and spayed a few coats of clear coat sealer on them. Most of the techniques I used I found from NeCubFlyer's excellent videos: www.youtube.com/profile?user=NeCubFlyer#p/u/0/WOo1_PnhuPAIf you need any more info feel free to message me
