hey all havent been around in awhile but was reviewing a few videos a club buddy put on youtube and thought I would share this is a link to www.sylvanaircraft.com's gallery. around 20 of our 50 members own sylvan's prodigy flying wing and they are truly a blast to fly and virtually indestructable. this particular day we played "limbo". Art of sylvan aircraft asked to use the video on his site and here it is. you are looking for "prodigy flying wings at Skylarks RC Club of Illinois" sylvanaircraft.com/stream_prodclub.htmlhope the simulator hasnt burned your eyes out quite yet...only a few more months of winter. happy flying admiral

Wow, looks just like the Parkzone Stryker at a fraction of the price!
I can't see the MEGA ones available for order, but is the one you're recommending?:
Prodigy Kit w/ Speed 400 Motor ($54.95 each) (Includes Speed 400 Motor, 5x5 APC Prop, and Alum. Prop Adapter)
cheers

dill - its the prodigy kit w/o motor. i did brushless on mine should be $42.95. nothing like a stryker much faster and higher level of control response
gingin - art is a "out of the garage" kinda guy. all of his kits are custom cut by himself and his profit margins arent very high. i think you should give up the search and pay the extra ship charge the whole kit is very light shouldnt cost an arm and a leg

What motor and electronics do you recommend for it? Is it just the hobbycity 4 or 6ch radio?

ah, thanks.
I've seen those corona receivers before, but wasn't sure what radios go with them? Can someone fill me in?

Corona Rx's are for 72Mhz/35Mhz/whatever is used in Oz/ and can be used with pretty much any of the big name manufacturers, Futaba, JR etc and are a cheaper option than the "real" Rx's. All 2.4Ghz kit uses proprietary transmission methods (DSM2/Faast etc) and hence a radio can only use same-make Rxs.
If I remember correctly, Admiral uses a Futaba radio.

One site that popped up both times in searches has this which looks very similar. I think I read last time that quite a few flyers are having fun with these so perhaps will try one as and when I get another airframe (I've got one waiting to maiden and the other half is giving me grief about getting more) in the spring/summer.

Curiosity got the better of me & i went ahead & ordered 2 of these Prodigy flying wings. As admiral said these are a blast to fly. Ive never flown one b4 but they dictate 100% concentration, not like getting the SC up high, then checking the kids are still ok then locate SC in the sky & resume flying! I have to keep it near too as once it hits a certain distance away it either becomes invisible or the orientation is totally lost. Its pulls around 30 amps WOT & sounds like a nitro engine! Ive stuffed it a few times too, once its pulled out of the soft earth & cleaned off its good to go! Mega 16/15/3 Brushless Motor APC 6x4 Speed 400 Electric Prop TURNIGY Plush 40amp BMS-380MG Micro Servo (Metal Gear) 3.6kg x 2 Corona Synthesized Receiver 72mhz Loong max 2250 3S1P 25C-35C Lipo Batteries Profilm Flourescent Green covering = lots of fun!

Hmm, interesting.....Mate managed to win an Ebay auction for some depron over the weekend, sharing half with me. Nearly 5 sheets for a fiver! ;P He's already cut himself something very akin to that babe, I may do the same myself. What's the overall weight of that? We were thinking bell motors may be enough for these on 2S lipos, but you've gone fairly heftier than that. Oooh. Only just noticed too... "Corona Synthesized Receiver 72mhz". Are you aware that that freq is illegal in the UK? Get one of those spekky Rx's in there!
