I can make my SC LP do a outside loop if I'm clever enough. I don't think that this is a maneuver that Hobby Zone may have considered for the original cub design. As the stock struts do nothing in compression, IE: when flying inverted, an outside loop puts a lot of load on the wing, probably more than it was designed for. I like the ideas people have for strengthening the wing by adding a spar but I also like the look of the struts. Therefore I'm giving some thought to making rigid struts using CF rod or maybe control pushrods. Must consider weight I know but the SC LP seems to have a great deal of power so I think a few ounces won't hurt. In the event of a mega- prang I'll need to have a way for the struts to break loose so I may have to consider velcro mountings and one or both ends. I'll let you know when I work it all out and I'll post the obligatory pix.

It can handle the weight, but I'd go with the CF rod embedded in the wing and keep the plastic struts for looks.
