Today was a crappy day for me as far as flying my super cub.
First some history. My supercub is about a year and a half old. When I first got it it flew great always, then I bought a new battery (same as stock). It flew fine until one day something happened where all my servos lock up in the extreme position (one way or the other) and all power goes out. The plane then death spirals into the ground and crashes into pieces. Even the electronic parts spilled out all over.
I stopped useing battery 2 (I have them marked 1 and 2) and have only been flying with battery one. A couple of days ago I had a great time flying...then today I went to a park by my house.
Again i was flying with battery 1 - I took off and immediately the rudder locked left and the plane crashed. I had power the whole time.
Then I checked it out - no damage (I flared with elevator right before crash landing).
I checked the control linkage, servos etc.....tested from a distance and had someone verify they were working. So...I took off again. I got up about 80 ft and rudder locked left....death spiral into the ground. Plane is in pieces electronics are spilled out all over the grass - what a mess. And this was a totally rebuilt new paint and everything. LOL....what a shame.
To pour salt on the wound I flew my cosmic flyer - I did a loop and roll and the whole right wing tip broke off in mid flight and fluttered to the ground like a leaf. Of course that put the Cosmic flyer out of control and into a HUGE oak tree. I was trying to get it down and a rain poured down. I left it. Ill buy something better. I guess its time to buy more parts. I need to get this electrical problem sorted out badly.
What could be causing this to happen. I am very frustrated. I keep buying part after part from crashes that are not my fault. Maybe I need to install a new RC system - DX6 or something.
