When i decided i wanted to fly planes back in February 07 i did all the research and came up with two choices. The Super cub or EZ* I chose the SC because it looked like a real plane and i wanted landing gear. It lived up to all the great info written about it and i know i made the right choice. But i have always wondered, how good is the EZ*. Well i can tell you it's brilliant. Maidened mine today and had a blast. I want to do some AP and this being a pusher style plane was the perfect candidate. Video. www.vimeo.com/652901

That was the one I wanted too, but decided on the SC because it was 1/2 the price. Didn't want to get in too deep if I didn't like flying, or to be truthful, couldn't learn how Gonna post a vid? M

Looks great. What size motor? I have one just like it. Hi prostock. Here are some specs. Weight 76 g Size 28x36 รถ x L mm Max. diameter 28 mm Recommended propeller 6,5x4 Diameter of shaft 3,2 mm I decided to get this motor as it came highly recommended for hauling around an extra 7oz on the nose. I could of got 4 motors from united hobbies for the price of the Mega. I'm hoping the quality of the Mega will give me trouble free performance, touch wood. @ M I did post a vid at the bottom of the post. here's the link. :)http://www.vimeo.com/652901

DUH? Don't know how I missed the vid link? Hope it ain't senility already . I definitely want one. That's the kind of flight that I expected out of my Tiger Moth, smooth and easy! Looks like it might be a candidate for an amphibious mod. Any thoughts? M

M. You will not be disappointed. Get a brushless set up and 3s lipo and you will have a blast. Here's some more vid from yesterday. www.vimeo.com/657279As for mods i think this plane has had every conceivable mod known to man. . Have a look at this site. www.rcflights.co.uk/EasystarEquip.htm

Thanks for the info. The rcflight link is great! Unbelievable the mods that can be done. The EasyStar will be in my hanger and on the wind this summer. I was especially pleased to see that it will handle some wind; got a lot of that around here. M

How is it to glide with? I love to take the SC to about 700-800 feet and dead stick it back to me.

tye. If you love the glide capabilities of the SC you will love the Easystar even more. I have not tried the dead stick from 800 feet yet but that would feel good, especially if you end up hand catching.

eDVR 5 in 1 mount. My new digital camera. Has not been airborne yet, waiting for a nice calm day. Will be using heavier duty bands on the day. Would of looked nice with a blue sky in the background.

Very nice pics/ location.
I'm thinking about adding floats or ailerons to mine. Can't decide which. I don't know if ailerons will screw up its awesome gliding capabilities...

Hi Frazer. It means flying the plane without the assistance of the motor. @prostock. I would of thought floats would have more of an effect on its gliding capabilities. I have a set of GWS floats sitting in the UK which i will bring back on my next trip. I think i will put them on the EZ* As for ailerons. When I'm flying the EZ* it kind of feels like I'm already flying with ailerons. Nice responsive turns and I'm still using the stock rudder I don't think i will be cutting my wing.
